UAE firm selected for carbines in talks with Indian defence majors to set up plant

Indian defence forces are considering the acquisition of ‘Made in India’ carbine for meeting their urgent requirement in view of the situation with China. The UAE government owned entity has been selected for a contract to supply close quarter carbines on a fast track basis to the Indian armed forces and they are in talks with major Indian defence players to set up manufacturing facility. The UAE based Caracal International did not disclose their Indian partners to supply 93,895 carbine rifles and said that they are ready to transfer their technology and move their operations here.
