Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal on October 19th urged the Union Minister Prakash Javadekar to initiate monthly meetings with the chief ministers of Delhi, Punjab, Haryana, and Uttar Pradesh to curb air pollution in the region, and said that there was a lack of political will at the level of the states to address the issue. In a virtual press breifing, he said the affected states have been unable to reach an agreement to stop stubble burning and prevent air pollution in the region. The chief minister said “I believe the air pollution due to stubble burning can be curbed in a short span of time.
