Telengana governor Tamilsai soundararajan gets additional charge for Puducherry L.t Governor

Lieutenant Governor of Puducherry Kiran Bedi was removed from her duties on the night of 16th February at a time when the UT was witnessing a political crisis following the resignation of Congress MLAs from the ruling congress government. The very next day, President Ram Nath Kovind gave the additional charge of the Union Territory to Telengana Governor Tamilisai Soundararajan. Later, the political crisis worsened with the ruling government failing to prove a majority in the assembly.
