Pepsi relies heavily on digitization for growth, to connect 10 million retailers
Leading Food and Beverage Manufacturer PepsiCo India is banking on digitization as a great growth opportunity and is considering using technology for upstream and downstream integration. The maker of Lay’s, Kurkure and many cola brands, including Pepsi, said it was working on a project to digitally connect about 10 million retailers and about 600 million consumers to the supplier. Ahmed El Sheikh, President and CEO of PepsiCo India, told PTI that. We are working on another project to digitize our links with farmers, we are talking about thousands of farmers we want to be connected to crops in the field, measure certain parameters and take corrective action with solutions.
