In running district hospitals, private players will get a role says, Ayushman Bharat

The government will engage private sector companies to provide health care services in district hospitals to people suffering from no communicable diseases, as it has seen a sharp increase in demand for these services after the Ayushman Bharat launch. In accordance with NITI Aayog guidelines, the governor’s largest think tank -private players will be selected on the basis of competitive and transparent tendering, and state governments will be allowed to customize these guidelines according to their needs. Amitabh Kant, CEO of NITI Aayog said that the idea is to provide world-class health facilities at the district level.
