IAF pilots begin training to use Chinook helicopters
The pilots of the Indian Air Force (IAF) have begun training for the use of Chinook CH-47F heavy-lift helicopters, a senior official said. Currently, four pilots and four flight engineers train on Chinook helicopters in Delaware, USA, since Monday. The helicopter is expected to soon enter the IAF and is expected to boost IAF operations as the heavy lift helicopter can carry arms and ammunition as well as nearly 300 soldiers at a time. The Indian private defence company Dynamatics, is developing parts of the Chinook helicopter.
